As October Pink shines a spotlight on breast cancer awareness, Cancer Light Network (CLN) hosted a Breast Cancer Prevention Workshop on October 24, 2026, at its office in Melen, Yaoundé, bringing together 30 participants to promote breast health, prevention, and early detection.
The workshop explored the purpose and importance of early detection and screening, the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, imaging and laboratory tests, diagnosis and treatment options, and sociocultural factors influencing breast cancer prevention and early detection. Through educational presentations and interactive discussions, participants were encouraged to challenge misconceptions, recognize the importance of timely medical consultation, and make informed health decisions. Certificates of participation were awarded at the close of the workshop.
This initiative reflects CLN’s continued commitment to empowering communities with reliable health information and promoting early detection to reduce the burden of Brest cancer.
Early detection saves lives!
