JRM Medical Center History

The JRM Medical Center, which is primarily referred to as the Cancer Light Network, was started by a doctor called Jude Ranchu Maimo who had a mission to combat breast cancer and related ailments in Cameroon. The center was established in response to the shocking statistics of late breast cancer diagnosis, which is mostly fatal. Since onset, JRM Medical Center was to be more than a treatment center, it was to be an educational, sensitization, early-detection, and holistic-care facility.

Beginning with community awareness programs, the center then ventured into providing breast cancer screening, diagnostic and multidisciplinary management. JRM became a patient-centered institution by incorporating psychological care into its medical care. It is now considered as a hope in the region to the people and families affected by diseases that are related to the breast.
